Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy

Hydro massage is a type of massage based on the therapeutic use of water pressure.

The essence of hydro massage is applying massage techniques to the human body thermally, mechanically, or chemically (using mineral or sea water) through the water.

Hydro massage helps to relax muscles, increase blood circulation, and relieve muscular pain and tension.

Effect of hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy improves blood and lymphatic circulation, promotes metabolism, accelerates the absorption of the inflammatory foci. Hydrotherapy, as other medical procedures, should be applied regularly to obtain the corresponding positive results.

Indications

  • injuries and diseases of the musculosceletal system, chronic spine pain,
  • disorders of the peripheral nervous system,
  • muscle strain,
  • post-traumatic and post-surgical recovery,
  • sleep disturbance,
  • stress, depression,
  • rheumatism, arthritis, arthrosis,
  • metabolic disorders (cellulitis, obesity),
  • chronic fatigue syndrome.

Types of procedures

Baths
“Neptune” – with sea salt

The bath with sea salt improves overall health. These baths have a therapeutic effect at the following diseases: diseases of the joints, musculoskeletal system (arthritis, trauma, radiculitis, osteochondrosis). Baths with sea salt are involved in the complex treatment of skin diseases: dermatitis, acne, psoriasis, eczema. This procedure strengthens the nervous system, increases the ability to work, relieves muscle tension and fatigue.

“Emerald” – coniferous

Coniferous baths have a calming and sedative effect on the human organism. They strengthen the body’s defenses, improve immunity, effect on the skin and central nervous system beneficially. A decoction is an excellent diaphoretic and choleretic effect. Moreover, these baths, especially in combination with the drinking of the coniferous decoction, promote weight loss, removal of residues, toxins and radionuclides from the body.

“Nefertiti” – iodine-bromine

The therapeutic effect of iodine-bromine baths is characterized by the influence on the human organism ions of iodine and bromine. These substances, even in small amounts can affect on these or other internal processes. Per one procedure the human body soaks up about 300 mcg of bromine and about 150 mcg of iodine.

The ions of these substances can accumulate in the thyroid gland, restoring iodic balance and by normalizing hormone output. They have a salutary effect on the central nervous system are involved in metabolism. The ions accumulate under the skin at first, and then spread throughout the body, circulating with the blood to organs and tissues, restoring the disturbed balance.

“Ludovic” – vortical

By physiological effects on the human body and therapeutic influence, vortical baths are very close to the massage. Here the mechanical and thermal factors are dominational. The mechanical effect causes increased blood circulation and lymph flow, improving metabolism and microcirculation. At the same time а change occurs in the sensitivity of nerve endings, tonus of veins and venous blood outflow are improved, swelling of tissues is reduced.

Vortical baths have resorbing, analgesic and trophic effects on organs and tissues.

“White Rose” – pearly

Pearl baths are applied for diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system, as they reduce excitability have a calming effect on the nervous system, reduce pain and restore the nervous regulation of muscles. Besides, acting factors of pearl bath cause expansion of capillary vessels and, consequently, improve blood flow to organs and tissues. This reduces blood pressure and increases cardiac output. Thus, the load on the heart is greatly reduced.

“Aphrodite” – 4-chamber bath

4-chamber bath is intended for hydrotherapeutic procedures simultaneously of all limbs. It is applied by passing with the galvanic current through water, resulting in polarization of tissues and neurohumoral response reactions. Galvanic 4-chamber bath is used in the treatment of chronic inflammatory lesions and dystrophic changes in the musculoskeletal system, peripheral paralysis, some forms of rheumatism, vasoneurosis, post-traumatic conditions, restless legs syndrome, seizures, and decreased muscle tonus of extremities.

Underwater shower massage/hydromassage

Underwater shower-massage speeds up recovery of movement functions, improves joint mobility, strengthens the walls of vessels, reduces reflex excitability, relieves pain, increases blood flow to the cells and tissues, removes fluid surpluses, relieve swelling, resorption of hemorrhages is accelerated, skin actively is saturated with oxygen, skin tone is improved, its intake of nutrients is increased, the structure and elasticity of the skin is improved, it has a salutary effect on overall health, gives a charge of vivacity and good mood.

Sharko shower

Sharko shower – is a hydrotherapeutic procedure, which is a shower with a “shock” of the water jet directed on specific areas of influence. Shower improves blood circulation and strengthens the immune system, improves the functions of vessels, increases the vital tone, removes toxins from the body. It is indicated for arthritis, rheumatism and muscle weakness, stress and metabolic disorders, after stress, nervous diseases and various kinds of pains.
